A Blessing of the Tongue

The death penalty
is considered punishment
for all of the evil deeds
that a prisoner has achieved.
Yet,
death itself inflicts pains
to all involved
except the victim.
A murderer sentenced to death
is given the opportunity to rest,
at peace with the rest of humanity
For he has passed with the blessing of a priest
and with the Lord’s name on his tongue.
Scriptures proclaim
that all who shall call on Him in a time of need shall find Him.
and be in His grace.
Death issues
peace, liberty, and atonement for our sins.
It is a freeing of the spirit.
But a chasing of will good versus evil allows a murderer free to enjoy all of eternity.
