If Only I Can Tell My Story!

I sometimes want to sing a song that tells the story of my life,
Using every word and phrase to express my struggling days.
I sometimes want to write a poem that illustrates my love.
A story about a girl who was stuck in love
With a guy who didn’t understand her.
I sometimes want to run a race to express my hurt and my pain
I’d run so fast only my shadow would know my past.
I sometimes want to tell a story about the life I’ve lived
I feel someone would listen
‘Cuz they know the story is real.
I sometimes want to be a historian so I can tell the history of my life
Not being afraid to tell it like it is.
I sometimes want to be a magician so I can show the magic of my life
All the doubts, tears, and pain I amazingly overcame.
You know what? Maybe if I was a dancer
I could tell the story of my life through motion,
Flipping, turning, jumping, popping, and rocking.
IF ONLY I CAN TELL MY STORY
IMAGINE WHAT IT WILL DO TO HISTORY!
