Day by Day

I feel locked up in this cell
Wishing only for a pill
Knowing that’s what will take me away
For this deal I constantly pay
Won’t last long before the high is gone
Waking up to reality again
Taking me back to that horrible den
Day by day, same old shit
How far gone can I possibly get
Can I crawl out of this most dreadful pit
Or do I lie down just for a bit
Sounds will come, sounds will go
How much more of a reminder of this hell
Can I possibly get
So if you may be ignorant
Follow my steps
Go ahead and use, steal or sell
Cause you definitely will find
Yourself in this miserable cell
